Food for 35,000

Learfield Sports received a nice note from Kathy Dunn, the Volunteer Food Drive Administrator for the San Diego Food Bank:

"Thank you for supporting hunger relief by volunteering at the San Diego Food Bank.  We truly appreciate all of your hard work.  Your efforts help us provide more than 660,000 meals to 160,000 individuals throughout San Diego County each month.  Due to the huge amount of food being distributed (10 million pounds annually) and a staff of 21, our organization depends greatly on community volunteers!  You made a real impact in our fight against hunger by sorting 14 pallets and assembling 1248 boxes of food during your day with us.  That will provide enough food for approximately 36,000 meals!

Your generosity means so much to hungry families and individuals in our community.  On behalf of the San Diego Food Bank and all of the clients that we serve, thank you."
