"So, are you guys blogging or not?"

We are, we are! We're just not doing a very good job of it. And that's too bad, because there's all kinds of interesting thing going on at our network. We're just struggling to find the time to share them here. In a perfect world, we'd have Bob Priddy ("The Missourinet's First and Only News Director") posting. An amazing writer and really interesting guy. Or Brent, or Steve or Kenny or That New Girl (Laura).

But blogging is like the hula hoop. It look like it would be easy and fun, but some people just can't do it. There's a bit of a knack to it. So, until we figure out what to do with our blog, we've given it to our Web Monkey and he's just not keeping up. But, in all fairness, he's trying to keep up with a lot of websites. Sort of like a bigamist, racing from family to family in different cities.

Two of our sister networks have incorporated blogs. Radio Iowa News Director O. Kay Henderson covers politics from our Des Moines bureau and her blog has quickly become a must-read for serious politicos in Iowa and Washington D. C. It's real insider look at the stories behind the stories.

Our network in Wisconsin (Wisconsin Radio Network) has two blogs. News Director Bob Hague takes off his journalist hat a couple of times a day and puts on his... blogger hat?... just read it and you'll get the idea.

Way up on the tundra of Green Bay, WRN Sports Director Bill Scott blogs about the Packers and the Badgers and anything and everything to do with sports in Wisconsin.

Until we can find someone to keep this hula hoop spinning, you'll just have to bear with our sporadic posting. We'll try to do better.

Coming soon: A new look for Missourinet.com. We are frantically redesigning the Missourinet website. It's almost 10 years old and in need of an extreme make-over. Before the end of the year. Scouts honor.

Election night coverage. The Missourinet will provide full coverage of all major ballot issues and races in the November 7th general election. Bob Priddy will anchor our twice-hourly reports (:06 and :30) beginning at 7:30 p.m. CST. We'll have reporters some of the campaign HQ's (Talent and McCaskill for sure).
