And now ... the "Best Dressed Bracket"
Unaccustomed as so many of us at the Missourinet are to talk of fashion (just take a look at the way we dress), there is a need to inform all readers of this blog about how one of the people in the newsroom has taken it upon himself to make his NCAA Basketball picks, based on the look of the uniforms.
It is our newsroom intern Jon Allison who has come up a "Best Dressed" bracket. It's interesting to see how far he has Winthrop going in the East Regional. It gets to the "Sweet Sixteen" before being topped by North Carolina.
In the South, Allison has Marquette winning the Regional, going to the Final Four, and advancing to the championship game before being put down by Connecticut. His biggest disappointment is that Marquette and Kentucky had to play in the opening round. He likes both uniforms.
Folks, it's not scientific, but have you ever noticed that the person who tends to win those NFL pools is someone who rarely follows football? In fact, it's often someone like Diane on "Cheers" who looks at the schedule and says ... "The Dolphins are playing at home on a soggy field ... there's no way they could lose in their home environment!"
Anyway, we'll keep track of his picks ... and if he comes out on top ... the rest of us in the newsroom are giving up! By the way, our brackets are for entertainment purposes only ... with no wagering!
