Ron Paul returns ... sort of

Missouri Republicans are holding congressional district caucuses on Saturday and party leaders are warning of a possible attempt by supporters of former GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul to somehow crash the party.

The rumors are that Paul followers (some talk show hosts call them "Paulistinians") plan to flood the caucuses to try to overturn the already established rules regarding how the Missouri delegation to the Republican National Convention in St. Paul will vote. Missouri Republican Party Executive Director Jared Craighead says Paul supporters will try to do this through what he calls a campaign of misinformation ... taking steps in a process the Paul followers hope would lead to a change in the rules to allow pledged delegates to go in a different direction.

Craighead makes it clear the rules are etched in stone: Missouri's delegates to the National Convention are bound and must support Senator John McCain.

We have every right ( free country ) to raise this country up out of the (expletive deleted) hole we are now in. The populace is waking up :)

Correction - Ron Paul is an active presidential candidate. His supporters are republicans as well so they are going to their own party, not crashing anyone's.

As an update, we are happy to report that Ron Paul took 72 out of 112 Delegates to the Missouri State Convention and the District Caucus from Greene County. He also took all 180 delegates from Jackson county and also took most from St. Charles county. Similar results are coming in from all over the state.

What do you mean former? He is still running.
