4th District Democrat hires former Dodd staffers

Becky Greenwald is the Democrat who faces Republican Congressman Tom Latham of Ames in the fall election.  Greenwald's campaign issued a statement this week, outlining campaign staffing.  Read it below.

Bob Brennan will be joining the team as the Campaign Manager, Erin Seidler as Communications Director and Jeff Yaggi as the Field Director.

Campaign Manager Bob Brennan

Bob was the Finance Director for Congressman Leonard Boswell's recent primary campaign, leading the Congressman to a 5 to 1 fundraising advantage over his opponent and raising over $250,000 in the first month on the job.  Before working for Congressman Boswell, Bob was the Director of Trips and Scheduling for Senator Chris Dodd's presidential campaign in Iowa.  Bob joined the Dodd campaign from the Iowa Governor's office where he was the Director of Scheduling during the transition and the first legislative session. He also worked on the successful 2006 gubernatorial campaign of Chet Culver.  Bob first began work in the political and communications world at the Rendon Group in Washington DC working on global strategic communications.

Communications Director Erin Seidler

Seasoned Iowa press operative Erin Seidler will oversee the press operation.  Erin currently works for the bipartisan public affairs firm Lincoln Strategies Group in West Des Moines and has served as Press Secretary for the Iowa Democratic Party during the Democrat’s successful 2006 cycle. She is well-known for her proactive and aggressive earned media style.

Field Director John Yaggi

John has five cycles under his belt in the field.  Recently John was a regional field director for Senator Chris Dodd’s campaign in Iowa, where his region spanned most of the fourth congressional district.  After the Dodd campaign, John went to work for Senator Clinton in Minnesota and Ohio.  John started out as field organizer for Baron Hill’s successful congressional campaign in Indiana.
